Now that the country is starting to open back up slowly. Individuals want to know, when is a good time to travel. Travel experts are saying do not cancel your travel plans for 2020, just pushed them back. September-December of 2020 is expected to be a hot time to travel. Which leads me into my title "Fall is the new...Summer." We all know that these are not normal times we are living in. If you love to travel like I do you are waiting to see when is a safe time to travel? Traveling to the the grocery store and back, traveling to one section of your home to another is just not fun anymore. People are ready to feel the nice breeze on their favorite sandy beaches, sipping their favorite drinks. I know I am!
How do I plan for travel in uncertain times?
Read and follow up on governors advice to your destination. Do not travel to hot spots who were heavily impacted by COVID-19. If you haven't purchase travel insurance before, now is the time to consider it for all future travels. We never know what will happen and with travel insurance you are covered and the hard earn money you saved to book your trip will not go down the drain.
How to travel this Summer?
Dr. William Schaffner, professor of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University and an infectious diseases expert, said that we can expect road trips and closer-to-home travel to start to return as states begin to scale back their stay-at-home guidelines and social distancing measures. I think road trips maybe the safest way to travel this summer. You are in control of who you come in contact with. I am looking to take a few road trips this summer and potentially start flying again this Fall.
